Traditions and customs of rain and hail

Despite major changes associated with modernization in the last decades of the twentieth century , Nahua communities of the western slopes of the extinct volcano of La Malinche in the states of Tlaxcala and Puebla, until recently maintained and in some cases mantienen- still tongue , an indigenous identity and other cultural traits shared with other peoples of the Mesoamerican cultural tradition. In this article it attests to the persistence of a complex of beliefs and practices around the weather, especially in one of these communities , Acxotla del Monte, in the state of Tlaxcala. Examples of elements of the same ideological complex registered in other contemporary indigenous peoples and prehispanic Mexico to locate the context analyzed in the context of the Mesoamerican religious tradition are also presented.

Since prehispanic existed an ancient tradition over the serpent of rain between various groups of the state of Oaxaca. In the Codex Baranda , Selden and Roll Canvas Tlapiltepec were recorded ancient stories of a supernatural snake that prevented the foundation of the people and the emergence of the ruling lineages in the Chocholteca region.

Customs

In India they have varied customs and rituals, such as one that is to bring rain to a territory . What they do in India is a wedding between two frogs, something very curious, but which for them means that the rain will come to the territory where they live again. In all religions we find rituals to bring rain and India have theirs .

Personal opinion: for me it is very good that each country has traditions because that the world has more variety and that's what counts

ACID RAIN ON WILDLIFE

WHAT'S THE ACID RAIN?

Rain with dissolved acids, mainly sulfuric and nitric from fossil fuels and combustion engines acid.

HOW ACID RAIN AFFECTS WILDLIFE?

The eggs of several species of birds appear with very thin walls due to aluminum ingested by insects which feed. These insects precisely develop in acified waters. Herbivores are affected to acidify the soil, plants that eat those, acummulate a larger amount of heavy metals (aluminum, cadmium, etc.) Summarizing the above, we can say that the fauna will also be affected by changes in the composition and structure of vegetation. If, for example, forest and demaged, major changes will occur in the animal species that make up the forest ecosystem.

There have been many cities where acid rain have fallen, leaving affected the plantlife, the wildlife, human themselves, contaminated forests, produces sickness...

In this image is a forest by acid rain, where the trees have lost their foliage.

Acid rain has affected wildlife, killing thousands of fish and leaving a whole river without nature.

This has been a dog after acid rain

CONCLUSION: We should reduce the fossil combustion, reduce the energy in houses and fabrics... because it produces serious long-time effects in everyday life. The acid rain can kill and leave sequelae.

MUSIC ABOUT RAIN

MUSIC ABOUT RAIN

The meaning of rhe rain change in every single song, all depents about the writer or artist, but in general  the rain is an emotional feeling. So I decided to choose some diferent songs and review the meaning of the rain on them.

The firts song I decided to put in this list is one of my favourites about Selena Gomez.

"A year without rain"(2010)
Ooh ooh ooh
Ooh ooh ooh
Can you feel me
When I think about you?

With every breath I take

Every minute

No matter what I do
My world is an empty place
Like
I've been wandering the desert

For a thousand days (oh)

Don't know if it's a mirage

But I always see your face, baby
[Chorus:]

I'm missing you so much

Can't help it, I'm in love

A day without you is like a year without rain

I need you by my side

Don't know how I'll survive

A day without you is like a year without rain (oh, whoa)
Whoa, oh, whoa
The stars are burning
I hear your voice in my mind (voice in my mind)

Can't you hear me calling?
My heart is yearning
Like the ocean that's running dry
Catch me,
 I'm falling
It's like the ground is crumbling underneath my feet

Won't you save me?

There's gonna be a monsoon when you get back to me, oh, baby
[Chorus]
I'm missing you so much

Can't help it, I'm in love
A day without you is like a year without rain

I need you by my side
Don't know how I'll survive

A day without you is like a year without rain (oh, whoa)
Whoa, oh, whoa
[Chorus]
So let this drought come to an end
And make this desert flower again
I need you here
I can't explain

But a day without you
Is like a year without rain
(oooh)
It's a world of wonder with you in my life
So hurry, baby,
 don't waste no more time
I need you here, I can't explain

But a day without you is like a year without rain.
MEANING
For me this song "A year without rain" means that a girl who misses a boy. She misses him so much that she feels that even if one day she does not see him, she will feel as if it is a year without seeing him.

Another one of the most popular group in the world, The Beatles

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jTxlDC93mXs

"Rain" (1966)
If the rain comes they run and hide their heads
They might as well be dead
If the rain comes, if the rain comes

When the sun shines they slip into the shade
(When the sun shines down)
And drink their lemonade
(When the sun shines down)
When the sun shines, when the sun shines

Rain, I don't mind
Shine, the weather's fine

I can show you that when it starts to rain
(When the rain comes down)
Everything's the same
(When the rain comes down)
I can show you, I can show you

Rain, I don't mind
Shine, the weather's fine

Can you hear me, that when it rains and shines
(When it rains and shines)
It's just a state of mind?
(When it rains and shines)
Can you hear me, can you hear me?

MEANING
I thing the meaning of this song about people who are always moaning about the weather all the time,” Lennon stated, “you know, whatever it is, it’s OK, it’s meant to be.”  McCartney concurs:  “Songs have traditionally treated rain as a bad thing and what we got on to was that it’s no bad thing.  There’s no greater feeling than the rain dripping down your back.

Why does it always rain on me? Travis (1999)

I can't sleep tonight
everybody's saying everything is alright
still i can't close my eyes
i'm seeing a tunnel at the end of all of these lights
sunny days, where have you gone?
i get the strangest feeling you belong
Chorus
why does it always rain on me?
is it because i lied when i was seventeen?
why does it always rain on me?
even when the sun is shinning i can't avoid the lightning
I can't stand myself
i'm being held up by invisible men
still life on a shelf when
i've got my mind on something else
sunny days, oh where have you gone
i get the strangest feeling you belong
Why does it always rain on me?
is it because i lied when i was seventeen?
why does it always rain on me?
even when the sun is shinning i can't avoid the lightning
middle eight
oh where did the blue sky go?
oh why is it raining so?
it's so cold
Repeat 1st verse and chorus
Oh where did the blue sky go? oh why is it raining so?
it's so cold
Why does it always rain on me?
is it because i lied when i was seventeen?
why does it always rain on me?
even when the sun is shinning i can't avoid the lightning
why does it always rain on me?
THE MEANING
The title could easily have been inspired simply by everyday life in Scotland as, after all, it's a country well known for its wet climate but the lyrics take us to a far darker place than a wet day in Glasgow.
The lines, `Why does it always rain on me? Is it because I lied when I was seventeen?' are almost comical but it soon becomes painfully evident that the person asking the questions in the song isn't seeing any humor in life at all.
