Traditions and customs of rain and hail


Despite major changes associated with modernization in the last decades of the twentieth century , Nahua communities of the western slopes of the extinct volcano of La Malinche in the states of Tlaxcala and Puebla, until recently maintained and in some cases mantienen- still tongue , an indigenous identity and other cultural traits shared with other peoples of the Mesoamerican cultural tradition. In this article it attests to the persistence of a complex of beliefs and practices around the weather, especially in one of these communities , Acxotla del Monte, in the state of Tlaxcala. Examples of elements of the same ideological complex registered in other contemporary indigenous peoples and prehispanic Mexico to locate the context analyzed in the context of the Mesoamerican religious tradition are also presented.

Traditions

A rain dance is a ceremonial dance performed to invoke rain and to ensure the success of the cosecha.Numerosas cultures , from ancient Egypt to certain Native American tribes , have different interpretations of the rain dance . Even in the twentieth century are practiced in areas of balance sheets, in a ritual known as Paparuda (Romanian ) or Perperuna ( in language).

Since prehispanic existed an ancient tradition over the serpent of rain between various groups of the state of Oaxaca. In the Codex Baranda , Selden and Roll Canvas Tlapiltepec were recorded ancient stories of a supernatural snake that prevented the foundation of the people and the emergence of the ruling lineages in the Chocholteca region.

Customs

In India they have varied customs and rituals, such as one that is to bring rain to a territory . What they do in India is a wedding between two frogs, something very curious, but which for them means that the rain will come to the territory where they live again. In all religions we find rituals to bring rain and India have theirs .

Personal opinion: for me it is very good that each country has traditions because that the world has more variety and that's what counts
